In Mr. Kelly's class we did a lab that was just like CSI(the tv show). We had to analyze evidence and we had suspects and everything. My partners were CJ Coronado, and Jeremy Bertarioni. We had a crime scene that was a potential homicide. This meaning that someone tried to murder someone else but failed, OR someone killed someone but put the body somewhere else. At our crime scene we had 2 different blood types: A & B. Also we had a hair: it was weave we believe. (haha that rhymed.... sorry back to the Crime......) We also had a fiber it was cotton. We found a cotton ball at the scene of the crime... it had an odor that seemed to be a type of shampoo or perfume/cologne of some type. We also had a gold chain. There were 8 suspects we had to choose from. Most of which had a rap sheet, that wasnt pretty. After narrowing it down 4 prime suspects: Sam Tilson, Ralph Johnson, Kooladria, and Jenny Cho. Sam Tilson has attempted homicide on his rap sheet. While Kooladria has prostitution on hers. Kooladria and Jenny both have on gold chains in their pictures. SO here is how i see what happened.............. It was a dark and lonesome night....... haha just kidding now this is for real..... .Ralph Johnson wanted to have some fun so he drove down 'Hooker Lane' (hahaah) and picked up Kooladria. After they had their fun he saw her gold chain and yanked it from her neck. She attempted to get it back but he was stronger and he tried to kill her but luckily she escaped with only a few strands of her weave left at the scene............. therfore leaving the blood off both the suspects at the scene.... and Kooladria's gold chain.
My team mates may have differet suspects for they saw the crime differently than I. For in every Investigation there are different observations. (that sorta rhymed... right? ahah)
This is everything i have from the CSI lab. Hope you enjoyed this amusing post.

Blood Typing
There are 4 different types of blood: A, B, AB, O. Everyone in the world has one of these types of blood. O blood is the most rare type of blood ther is. Someone with O blood is a universal donor. They can donate to anyone with any type of blood. Scientists use blood to eliminate or single out suspects in the crime. Blood types were discovered in 1901. Biologists couldnt figure out why some patients lived and others had bad reactions. In 1901 Karl Landsteiner won a Nobel Peace Prize for discovering three blood types A, B, O. 1902: The blood type AB is found. Ever since these discoveries scientists and doctors have been able to help many people.
A blood can be donated to A, or AB
B blood can be donated to B, or AB
AB blood can be donated to A, B, or AB
O blood can be donated to A, AB, B, O because it is a universal donor
The Rh factor helps scientists and such determine whether someones blood is either: A-, A+, B-, B+, AB-, AB+, or O-, O+.

History of hair and fiber analysis
One of the first papers on hair analysis was published in France in 1857. & by the early 1900's microscopic examination of hair was established and well used. A single hair holds information which can help us find out the race, sex, and the age of its owner, even though a fingerprint can hold more information a single strand of hair will do if that is all to be found. Hairs can be found anywhere: On the suspect, the victim, the crime scene, etc. Hair is composed of many many elements. But the most common are protein substances and keratin. Hairs absorbent property comes in handy with arsenic poisoning cases, because it is found in the hair. Examination of the roots can help let scientists know if the hair had fallen out or if it was forcefully removed. Scientists can find whether hair is human or animal, what race it is, what species of animal if animal hair, or what body part it came from. Fibers although let the scientists know what kind of clothing the suspect was wearing or has. Fibers which are synthetic must be identified with infrared spectrophotometry. Scientists can determine a fibre by the way it absorbs light. This is all i can find about hair and fibers.
