Handwriting

It is said that no two people write the same, but should we really believe that?

OF COURSE!!!!! No one can write the EXACT same way someone else does. Someones handwriting is their 'mark' on everything they sign, wills, deeds, and checks. Handwriting gives authenticity, credibility, and authority over what they are signing. Typed signatures mean nothing, they are not proof like hand written signatures are. In school we were taught to trace cursive in a book, but after we learned that we put our own twist on it. We give it our own style, therefore making it our own, making it our unique way of being different.

There are two different types of handwriting: request writing and nonrequest writing. Request writing doesn't hold in court because it gives the person a chance to change the way they write, where as nonrequest writing does hold in court because the person doesn't have a chance to change it.

In certain criminal cases, handwriting is very important. It gives the criminal NO way out. They cant escape the crime they have committed, because their handwriting may match the evidence found.

History of Fingerprinting

Fingerprinting has been around for a very long time. It is said that no one really knows how far back fingerprinting goes but we for sure know it was around in 2000 BC, when the egyptians were building pyramids.

Fingerprinting has helped the usa in the past 100 years by providing accurate identification of criminals. There has never been the same 2 fingerprints of any human beings in the whole world, in the whole time fingerprinting has been used. Fingerprints at crime scenes prevent more evidence, more suspects, and ect. Lots of human characteristics can change but out of all of those fingerprints never change, they stay the same forever. What you have is what you get. They help people all over the world, and will continue helping for as long as this world lasts.

Patent Fingerprints

Patent prints can be known as visible prints or direct prints. You can notice these with the naked eye because they are left with something else. Such as: Blood, dirt, ink, or grease on the finger come in contact with a surface and leave a friction ridge impression.

Plastic Fingerprints

PLastic prints also known as impressed prints. These prints are left in soft surface, like clay, wax, paint, or any other surface that takes impressions. These prints are visible and can be seen without dusting. They can be photographed easily and do not need to be touched to fix.

Latent Fingerprints

There are 3 types of fingerprints: Latent, Plastic, & Direct prints. Latent prints are prints that cannot be seen with the naked eye. This type of print can only be found by dusting, fuming, or chemical reagents. Latent prints are usually either smudged, distorted, or overlapping. Latent prints most likely are useless.
